Contract with the fishing company SAPMER has opened the door to new possibilities: Chose WiseFish.

SAPMER Fishing Company based in Reunion Island (French Island in the Indian Ocean), with a subsidiary in Mauritius for the processing and value enhancing of halieutic products, purchased earlier this year WiseFish software from Maritech.

SAPMER manages 11 vessels including a patrol boat that carries out surveillance missions in the Exclusive Economic Zones of the French Southern and Antarctic waters. Last year SAPMER had a turnover of 77 million Euros. The company operates Freezer Longliners to catch tuna, a Pot Lobster Freezer for rock lobster, and Freezer Longliners for toothfish in addition to processing and value enhancing in its Mauritian factory. About 461 people work for SAPMER with 48 shore-based.

"We'll translate our Wise Fish software into French in collaboration with PWC in Mauritius. The agreement thus opens new markets that offer even greater potential for WiseFish software sales outside of Iceland, "said Jon Heidar Palsson, Director of Marketing and Sales at Maritech.

"Recently we have been working on standard connections to Innova from Marel and TrackWell SeaData which is a fleet management system that requires catch and product registration. To our main partners these connections make the implementation and installation much simpler and easier, "says Jon Heidar.
