Wisefish connects AI to live seafood operations, from catch and farm to customer

Wisefish connects AI to live seafood operations, from catch and farm to customer

Fishing, farming, purchasing, production, sales and traceability, all in one connection.

Wisefish, the business solution built for seafood, today announced AI enablement for the industry. AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot can now connect directly to live Wisefish and Business Central data and work across the value chain, whether the raw material is caught, farmed or bought, from intake through to the customer.

AI Connect is ready now and works with the AI tools people already use every day.

“AI is only as useful as the data it can reach and the controls around it. We connect it directly to live operational data. It works within each user’s existing Business Central permissions, so AI never reaches further than the person using it. The result is better information flow, more transparency across the operation, and faster decisions made on live numbers,”

said Ari Hróbjartsson, Director of Product at Wisefish.

Built for everyone who runs a seafood business

The connection is designed to give every role faster, easier access to the system, each in the way that fits their work. Finance teams, who know Business Central best, can hand routine procedures and monitoring to AI: reconciliations, period-end checks, flagging deviations and following up on open items. That frees time for analysis and advice. Managers, sales representatives, buyers and quality staff, who work in the system less, can ask in plain language and get answers straight from live data. A sales rep can check stock, margin and order status before calling a customer. A production manager can compare yield across shifts or raw material sources. A quality lead can trace a lot back to its origin in seconds. When everyone works from the same live numbers, information flows better across the company and fewer ad hoc data requests land on any single team.

Seafood structure, built in

For seafood businesses, questions that once meant sending spreadsheets around or checking in with others can now be answered straight from live data. Seafood data is highly structured, with origin, yield and several products from one raw material, and Wisefish gives AI that structure to work with.

People stay in control throughout, with access following each user’s existing Business Central permissions. Customers start with read access, and creating or updating records is agreed with each customer, use case by use case. AI Connect is available as an add-on to Wisefish. Wisefish keeps extending the connection based on how customers use it. For teams who want help getting started or going further, Wisefish also offers seafood-specific advisory services.
